Responsibilities

• Prepare Water Sample Delivery Report through WQM-LAB and send to SWA every six (6) months.
• Prepare Water Sampling through WQMP with SWA.
• Prepare a Water Quality Violation Report within 24 hours based on the Water Quality Violation Report Management Workflow Chart and Corrective Action Implementation.
• Compliance with Water Supply Standards Operation Procedures.
• Ensure water treatment tests are done every 2 hours, recorded, and kept as a good database by the Operator.
• Ensure that each equipment is calibrated according to the set time period.
• Planning and holding in-house training related to procedures for using chemicals and handling test equipment with qualified and competent parties.
• Plan for maintenance, calibration and monitor laboratory equipment assets.
• Provide laboratory procedures and quality control (QA/QC) for each parameter tested.
• Identify and conduct investigations of the causes of water quality violations (Troubleshooting of Product Non-Conformances).
• Prepare quotation and tender process for the supply of Reagents and Consumables for Central and Operational Laboratories and in-situ Testing; six (6) months before the existing contract expires.
• Prepare the estimated budget for Reagent consumption before the end of Q2 (June) every year for the preparation for the year ahead purchase process.
• Ensure readiness of the purchasing application if the existing stock at the WTP shrinks to a three (3) month usage period.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry
• Registered with the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry
• A minimum of 2 years working experience in a related field
